Kiawe (Hawaiian Mesquite) is a beautiful, dense wood with rich red color with bright sap lines. It can form intense, very small curly figure. The sort includes lots of live edges, interesting voids, and crazy shape. Kiawe is food safe, so these pieces are perfect for serving trays (and then you can barbeque or smoke with your scrap. Delicious!)
Kiawe is a very stable wood. Even the sap is structural.
